If you are a tutor or teacher (“TuteNow Professional”) TuteNow requires you to register on our website by providing your name, email ID, personal phone number, password, location and gender. The Website also prompts you to share a photograph that may help better identify you amongst the prospective customers and which you may share at your own discretion. Such information is published on the Website as a part of the ‘testimonial’ results of the testimonials functionality developed by us. If you are a prospective customer looking to get connected with TuteNow professionals, our website collects your name, email ID, personal phone number, details of personal interest and location. Based on your consent, such information is shared on a limited basis by us with TuteNow Professionals in order to facilitate faster connect between the parties. Further, in order to consummate certain transactions, our website may also require you to submit your credit/debit card and/or bank account details through a secure Third-Party Payment Gateway provider. We may collect your bank details in certain circumstances, where money needs to be transferred to you via NEFT/IMPS/RTGS to your bank account. Such information is kept strictly confidential. Recordings are accessible to the participants of the class in accordance with the features available on the platform. In addition, recordings may be accessed only by authorised TuteNow personnel who require such access to perform their job responsibilities, such as coordinator, admin, customer support, trust and safety, quality assurance, and compliance teams. Access is role-based, limited to legitimate business purposes, and subject to appropriate access controls and audit logging.
TuteNow may also use automated technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), to assist in reviewing recordings for quality assurance, policy compliance, fraud detection, safety monitoring, and service improvement. These AI-assisted reviews are performed on behalf of TuteNow using enterprise-grade service providers under appropriate contractual, technical, and organisational safeguards. AI-generated results are used to assist authorised personnel and do not replace human review where required.
TuteNow does not use customer recordings to train publicly available AI models. Recordings are processed only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

For example, just as an email you may send to another person through an email service provider resides in that person’s inbox even after you delete it from your sent files or close your account, messages you send through TuteNow to other Users may remain visible to others after you have closed your account. Similarly, other information you have shared with others, or that others have copied, may also remain visible. TuteNow disclaims any liability in relation to the deletion or retention (subject to the terms herein) of information, or any obligation not to delete the information. TuteNow does not control when search engines update their search index or cache, which may contain certain profiles or other information that have since been removed from TuteNow’s Site.
TuteNow retains personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Support Ticket Communications
Support Ticket messages and related content are retained for up to 5 years from the date of last interaction, after which they may be deleted or anonymized.
Enquiry and Interaction Data
Enquiries, tutor responses, and related interaction data are retained for up to 5 years, after which such data may be deleted or anonymized.
User Account Data
Personal data is retained while your account remains active. If an account remains inactive, it may be marked as inactive after a defined period.
Financial and Transactional Data
Financial records, including payments, invoices, and transaction history, are retained for up to 8 years to comply with applicable laws, including the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Technical Logs and Usage Data
Login records and usage data are retained for 5 years for security, analytics, and system improvement.
